Lab Testing

A collection of test tubes
We offer many basic and functional lab tests that help to diagnose conditions, guide our treatment plans, and monitor your progress.

While our Health Restoration Programs are built on the core foundations of health—nutrition, movement, sleep, stress, and lifestyle—lab testing is an important component. Tests can reveal specific issues such a nutrient deficiencies, hormone imbalances, inflammation markers, autoimmune conditions, toxic exposure and gut pathogens. Identifying these contributors to symptoms and illness allow us to develop your treatment plan with more precision and certainty.

Not every individual will require extensive lab testing. We only recommend labs that will provide the most useful information for your case. For this reason, lab tests are not included in the price of your program. Some tests may be reimbursed in part or in full by your insurance. (Please refer to our FAQ for more information about costs, payment and insurance.)

Blood or urine samples are usually collected at a local lab facility, while certain tests that require stool, saliva or breath samples will be collected by you at home.

Here are some of the lab tests that we use:

  • General screening labs (CBC, CMP, ferritin, urinalysis, etc.)
  • Genomics/DNA testing
  • Thyroid and adrenal testing (Full panel TSH, T3, T4, thyroid antibodies)
  • Advanced testing for gastrointestinal conditions
  • Hormone testing for women
  • Insulin and Hemoglobin A1C
  • Nutrient testing (amino acids, essential fatty acids, vitamins and minerals)
  • Neurotransmitter testing
  • Heavy metal and environmental & mold toxicity testing
  • Food sensitivity testing
  • Allergy testing
  • Advanced cardiac, lipid and metabolic profiles
  • Auto-antibody testing
  • Viral antibody testing (Epstein-Barr, cytomegalovirus, etc.)
