Meet Holly Wurtz, ND
My Story
Besides being a naturopathic doctor, I am a wife, a mother to two incredible young men, a writer, a speaker and a researcher.
Just like you, I’ve had my own health challenges that dominated my life for years. I spent most of my 20s and 30s dealing with health problems that included weight gain, “brain fog,” profound fatigue, and crippling depression and anxiety.
My symptoms would wax and wane. When it would become unbearable, I would consult my primary care doctor who would suggest a new medication. Sometimes the medication would provide a bit of relief from my symptoms, but often not for long. The symptoms would always come back and sometimes even worsen.
Honestly, there were times when I felt that life wasn’t worth living because I was so tired of feeling sick.
A New Approach to Health
My life turned around when I attended a conference on holistic and integrative medicine in Washington state. I listened to a presentation by a naturopathic doctor and I was so inspired that I decided right then and there to find a doctor trained in natural medicine to help me.
My new doctor showed me how to take charge of my health by explaining that there were many factors contributing to my symptoms including a poor diet, lack of sleep and chronic stress. I began to implement the changes he recommended and within a few weeks, I started to feel better than I had in years. The anxiety, depression and brain fog lifted. I began to enjoy life again. I learned that the human body has an amazing ability to heal itself and I felt empowered. My health became my most cherished asset.
Because of this newfound enthusiasm for natural medicine, I decided to attend naturopathic medical school so I could help others find optimal health and reclaim their lives like I had.
Working With Me
I practice science-based, precision medicine. I do the detective work necessary to undercover the root cause of illness rather than just treat symptoms.
My mission is to help people feel fully balanced and healthy in body, mind and soul. This means helping people increase not only their lifespan but also their healthspan—the years free from chronic disease, full of wellness and vitality.
In Latin, the word doctor (docere) means “teacher.” I have a passion for empowering individuals with the knowledge and tools needed to transform their lives.
The pursuit of health is not a linear process, and my own experience helped me understand that there are often detours and road bumps along the way. My job is to help you stay on track with focus and motivation so you can rewrite the story of your life.
It’s time to leave illness behind and step into a new future filled with vibrant wellness.
Here’s to creating health!
